God put the man to sleep
To give him a dream
He reached inside his skin
To remove the rib
Closest to his heart
Wrapping flesh around bone
God gave a gift
Of a mate forever,
Flesh of his flesh
Bone of his bone
The two united in intimacy
Becoming one flesh, one soul
Never to part
Always to remain
One as God is One
Each man is missing
The flesh and bone
Closest to his heart
When he finds her
He finds his other
The two were meant to be
One, united forever
Never, ever to separate
For what God joins as one
No one can sever
A three fold cord
Is not easily broken
Man, Woman, God
Joined in holy matrimony
As is was in the beginning
So shall it forever be
When flesh joins with flesh
Soul joins with soul
The two are no more
They are one bound at the heart
Let each man find his other
Let each woman join her mate
Let God bring them together
Let the two become one
Never, ever to separate

You have such a phenomenal way with words. Such an uplifting and spiritual piece. Amazing! -
Just Beautiful
Oh this is beautiful and your heart is so full of Gods love and wisdom. You spoke of the truth in which God brought to us in his Word but also for our own good.
Let each man find his other
Let each woman join her mate
Let God bring them together
Let the two become one
Never, ever to seperate
Oh I just loved this part. It is so true you have to stick it out as one no matter how hard it gets for seasons come and seasons go but to stay as one in unity with the Father as time goes by the relationship grows even stronger. To many people just throw in the towel in our society and it is so sad. Broken families everywhere.
I'm sure your mate is just beautiful and you both when you do meet will truly be blessed by your obedience to the Lord and to your true love.
Many Blessings
Much Love Always

I've thought of this poem often since I first read it; it's the same views I grew up learning...but unfortunately, not listening to. I'm sure I'd have saved myself a lot of heartache over the years if I had...yet I also wonder if I wouldn't have remained a virgin forever.
I still think it's good advice though, and I'm glad more young people are choosing to wait until marriage despite the pressures and influences that are out there in great number. I found this to be a beautiful piece of poetic beauty and wisdom...and I hope your "right one" comes along soon.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write for the contest and share your views, and especially in such a beautiful way...

How beautiful this poem is! I'm glad I came in here and read this tonight. While this is probably more geared toward FINDING the right person, it also makes me think of the divorce rate sky-rocketing and how wrong that must be in the eyes of our Lord. The world will continue to change for better or for worst, though, but it's beautiful to know that God is consistent.
