Sitting around, waiting is the worst part
Trying to gather what little confidence I have left
To get in that car and drive up the school
Waiting to see the results I have gained
To see if the dreams I have made are decimated
Shoving cupcakes in your mouth
telling you all things are fine
and that you are worried for nothing
as we laugh at the geeks that are
more worried then you
Watching as the day passes by,
waiting for the night to come
not wanting to eat as the nerves kicked in
settling down will be a task to get through
Tying you up with rope
making you eat those green beans
and telling you that you need
all the brain food you can get
Arguing against you saying my brains not the problem
fearing the results as the hours draw closer
climbing into bed tossing and turning trying to find some comfort
nothing will cure my discomfort tonight
Smacking you in head with pillow
it is not time to sleep
paints your nails
different colours of the rainbow
to match your lifes light
smiles with a joyful gleam
sharing stories of happiness and joy
laughing as we get through a bottle of wine
forgetting for a while that results day is tomorrow
