The Warmth Is Lost

Constant sounds fade away
As your shuttered eyes slowly fade
Nervous beings gripping your soul
As I forget the sound of your name
Forgive me for my mistake
As I trespass along your grave
Searching for some hope in this earth
As the flowers slowly bloom
Whilst my heart continues to falter
Hollow hands flying upon my hair
In those brief moments of comfort
Crevices seeping black into my skin
As I grasp for this reality
Yet I know I'm slowly losing
Give me reason among your flowers
And this place in where you lay
Your heart embedded with beauty and power
Whereas mine is but the remnants of ash
Why did you leave me to search the ruins
As their hands grasp my arm
I can't feel the warmth anymore
For the sound is slowly dying
I fought to stay with you my love
As I lay amongst the ashes
But they believe me to be lying
And these walls are so high
Such cold grey stone pressed against my skin
Filter my blood with poison
I beg you my beautiful being
Kill me before they taint me
For I cannot look into their face
Without seeing what I once was
