Gaze like icy loneliness
Sliding down my back
Walks like she's suffering
Dark rubies along her arms
I see the pain in her heart
Her eyes cry out
It hurts to see
Like a thousand fires
Aiming to scald
I'm Scared and Appalled
Everyday she keeps trying
No tears in her eyes
Determination in her brow
She smiles at everyone
Hiding her pain
I can only ask how?
Is everyone blind?
How her eyes shine abused
I'm Amazed and Confused
Anger fills her unseeing eyes
Like millions of daggers
Bore into my soul
I'm frozen in my shock
So much hurt and rage her heart holds
Her anger comes off her
In waves of unseen heat
It seems it can't be curbed
I'm Stricken and Disturbed

It can be hard to witness someone in so much pain and not know how to help them. Loved the imagery in this.
