Like a leaf I float along
Attempting to sing my song
Songs embedded within the nights
And days of experience
Gently flowing down little crick
Tumbling o'er trills and rills
Finding all sorts of little thrills
Soon with river we do combine
Thrashing, dashing over; under
The rocks we go, seeking a foothold
Where we can put on diminutive show
Into the placid lake we glide
Attaching to raft, we begin to breathe
Docking, now we stand
Soothing brusises from battering ride
Gathering our wits so we can decide
What performance we must give
Before the end of the ride

I like the flow and the rhyme in this poem. The metaphor is executed very well. You have done a great job.
