The sonnet Queen of deepest Kent

She's mistress of the happy sad
A writer of the rhyming bent
Her poetry is quite "Not Bad"
The sonnet Queen of deepest Kent
She's learning free verse at a pace
And yet her rhyming won't relent
Each word is in its proper place
The sonnet Queen of deepest Kent
I've known her now for near a year
And every compliment is meant
She is a friend I hold most dear
The sonnet Queen of deepest Kent
She's mistress of the happy sad
The sonnet Queen of deepest Kent

A sonnet for the Queen of Kent
written by the King Of Rhyme,
    a special love I know that's meant
to help me on my steepest climb
I know that we've been through hard days
    written verse and happy/sad
through it all our friendship stays
give support both good and bad

Will come back and finish sonnet

What do you call this sonnet variant, Jeff. It's not half bad.

It's a Kyrielle sonnet 8 bean, iambic, AbaB cbcB dbdB AB or AabB ccbB ddbB AB, and thank you, it's a form Sue does very well.

What a wonderful dedication and she truly is the Sonnet Queen. This is beautifully penned. I thought you said you didn't like writing the Kyrielle Sonnet. This flows like silk and as Allan says; "that's dificult to do with an eight syllable sonnet." Bravo!

    Love,
    Amera
