Stan the Skinny Man (Part I)

Stan the Skinny Man
Sat in his chair
He flipped his old book
And drank in the stale air
with his head tilted
Off just a tad to the right
And his long skinny nose
Touching the tip of his
Cup
Stan the Skinny Man
Had, had enough.
He went to the window
Of his small gray house
And peered through the lattice
As he chewed on a mouse
The children were returning home
From the county fair
Laughter, happiness, and sweet filled
The air
then Stan the Skinny Man
Thought to himself
"There must be a way
For the townsmen to see
That I am the one who
Should be governor, or king.
Too long has it been
That I sit in this room
With my delightful tepid tea
And delectable prunes.
But I do fear, none
Respect my potential
Though i look quite gruesome
I can be most gentle.
But what good in that,
If I can have even more"
And with that Stan slipped out
Of the front door.
His head bent on twisted
Schemes
Much more terrible than
The town had ever seen...
