To Life and To Love

Your eyes waterless
as I slipped upon the

tears of my own heart;
chased by futile desires
that leaped across arid land
and hopeless plateau.
Waves of heat reached
what is called soul
crashing upon boulders
that dare not budge;
the spirit could not
be moved, for the wall
was too high and impenetrable.
Yet life's richness its moisture
touched your lips, and in
dew time...you came to life,
and to love.

    It's been too long since I have been to your poetry. You always pull the emotional triggers of imagery and this poem proves it. Well Done!

    Love,
