hope, edged in devoted fringe,
bound with green ribbon.
mind whispers vulnerability,
heart ties to silken kisses.
"Deployment"
leaving solitary tears
bravely stays wrapped.
a present revealed
in love's restraint~
bound with green ribbon.
mind whispers vulnerability,
heart ties to silken kisses.
"Deployment"
leaving solitary tears
bravely stays wrapped.
a present revealed
in love's restraint~

Oh the beauty that lies within the present
There were many lines I liked here, "hope, edged in devoted fringe," "mind whispers vulnerability,
heart ties to silken kisses" "a present revealed
in love's restraint". Wow, Kelsea must be a very special girl to have such beautiful images painted of her! Nice job!

Wow, thanks so much for my shiny bronze! Thank you reading and glad you enjoyed it!
Yes Kelsea is one day going to be my daughter in law and my son is in the Army so the poem took on a life of its own for her.
Shes a beautiful person!
Hugs
~Lisa~

Excellent
A unique write. I enjoyed the imagery which you created in relation to the pic. Thanks for sharing this one with us. -
um
don't know what to say, it is nicely written and well done, and it is true from time to time, we soldiers don't think of those we left behind, as a matter of fact they suffer more than we do because they don't know how dangerous it is, and whether we will make it out or not, but we sometimes are precise in our tthoughts and actions, knowing that we want to make it out alive to come back home, anyways to make it short, Job well done, love

"love's restraint" is least restraining.

Nice work.

-
nicely done, people tend not to think of the ones left behind when a soldier is deployed. wonderful take!
