do i believe your every word
am i that much of a fool
do i pretend i don't see
all the things that you hide
secrets you keep from me
i've seen that look in your eyes
heard the lowered voices
when i walk into the room
the signs there all there
its time i opened my eyes
see the truth that's before me
and stop lying to myself

I liked this one too; it reminds me of something i wrote myself on a topic like this - but quite different in ways, in relation to thinking someone who's now passed on is still around. anyway thanks for the memories - i enjoyed reading this

abt last stanza, that is the one i liked the most
"the signs there all there
its time i opened my eyes
see the truth that's before me
and stop lying to myself"
"its a right to wave a goodbye before its too late".
small but so sensitive. good poem
