Her skin
was exactly
the colour of
Thornton's toffee
Her hair was black
and her eyes
were always
full of fun
And she almost always
wore white
Years later
I was kissed
by a tiny redhead
with a laugh
in all she said
and a white mini-dress
The girl in the white mini
smiled sweetly
and agreed to a drink
we met at the bar
my suit contrasting
with her crisp white shirt
And now I see
a white tee shirt
white socks
and a wave
I love white girls
