He ran from the small town,
At an extremely fast pace.
Beads of sweat now trailing down,
His twitching and agonized face.
He sprinted towards the woods,
He had to get away.
Going as fast as he could,
For now he could not stay.
Now he's deep in this forest,
Alone and afraid.
Having to run even from his dearest,
A forced decision that was made.
He looked in the sky,
In the black blanket it rose.
The lunar orb that sat so high,
For the changing will occure he knows.
He has no worries now,
He's sure not to harm anyone.
He must try to stay away from town,
In the woods awaiting the sun.
Now here comes the changing,
His body is forced to switching.
Oh how badly he must be aching,
And how awfully his body is twitching.
He shakes his head violently,
And their's a hint of a snout.
Bearing fangs so venomously,
He know's this can't be fought.
His human skin,
Now gone and deserted.
His body no longer thin,
And his human mind inverted.
His hands now hold portruding claws,
No longer safe to touch anyone.
His face now shadowed with a wolf-like jaw,
No longer filled with joy and fun.
He rampages through the trees,
From his mouth escaping growls.
In the distance a far off cliff he sees,
And to the full moon he now howls.
