Lying on my stomach face towards the ground,
Being real careful as to not make a sound.
A person I know not by name,
With him and I it's probably the same.
We hear a noise it's very dramatic,
My reactions are quick there automatic.
My life flashes before me,my memories,
Of a life before this friends and family.
Exploding again I hear the loud sound,
I have to stay here because i'm bound.
Blood everywhere before my eyes,
These people all they do is terrorize.
All of a sudden everything goes black,
Now I realize there's no going back.
There is nothing here now there's nothing left,
And that was a war and also my death.

Holy cow, this is an effective read.

This is wonderfully written! I love the dramatic feel to it. It seems almost overdramatic, but hey, thats war...I love this! Good luck in my contest!
