Shadowed Silence

She waits in shadowed silence

breathing deeply the misty night air

alone, but not lonely

the demons of the night surround her

breathing deeply the misty night air

she ardently awaits her rebirth

the demons of the night surround her

they feed off her very essence

she ardently awaits her rebirth

they feed off her very essence

she waits in shadowed silence

This is a very interesting piece. both content and form wise. Is there a particular name to this form, it seems somewhat simalar to the pantoum.

    Well Done!

I like the darkness surrounding this piece. It's kind of comforting to know something may eat me before I die lol.

Honestly, it has been a very long time since I thought about demons at night. I do not wait for a rebirth, either. If someone wants to feed off my essence - they are very welcome

I am only scared of people. And only during the day. Yet, I like your poem. Because it carries me to my old days, lets me see changes from a perspective. Thank you for this.

Shadowed silence may not last forever... So "write on dark poet"

    demons

Perhaps the famous count Dracula? But it is true , i think , when we enter into the dark we do arouse those demons. Write on dark poet.

Short sweet and dark. Sometimes I wish the night would just swallow me whole.
