Politics,
A plethora
of candidates.
Demos and neocons,
Who can win?
Millions and millions
of bucks, daily.
In our faces.
On television
or satellite radio.
Frightening tactics,
If he / she does this
or does that.
Black, white, Morman,
minister or female fool?
Ex-mayor, little Texans,
or old senators.
What or who
can we choose?
Perhaps they all can lose!
Leadership?
Integrity?
Diplomacy?
Forethought?
Values?
Where is it going?
Perhaps we'll all lose!

I think you describe the cynical manipulation and flagrant waste of money that is the reality of American politics perfectly, and your concluding line is spot on!
Cheers,

Thanks for being the sounding board for all the thoughts, questions and frustrations of this year of political volleyball...I am a Canadian, but we will all be glad when the decision is made and all is over...A terrific strain on all, and not to say everyones wallet.. Good write!
