Pleiades weep their bright blue tears
amid the dust of eons past.
Through evening skies their brilliance sears
upon the mournful shadows cast.

the brave Pleiades weave their way.
They burn the sorrows they've amassed
each evening at the close of day.
Through evening skies their brilliance sears,
a shining mass, a glowing fleet,
'til somewhere past a million years
they pass beneath Orion's feet.
Upon the mournful shadows cast
Pleiades shimmer, bright and clear.
And so they shall until at last,
bereft, the Pleiads disappear.
