Fumes fog up the hope that is left
Clouds of smoke billow endlessly
The last ray of sunshine; gone
A tree in the forest of mind--snaps
Flames reach higher, and all hell breaks loose
Noise fills the reaches of being
Echoing on forever
A rampage of rage storms through the only calm remaining
World inside--destroyed
Bangs ring out through the burning air
Soul oblivious to the destruction
Hate, anger, sadness; suffocating every breath
Constant roaring emanates throughout
Madness, chaos, fear -- no escape
Then--silence.
Ragged breathing glimmers faintly in the ruins of sanity
Tears fall aplenty; as if from the heavens
Air hangs still and silent, echoing the shock from below
Suddenly: Clinking metal shakes the sky
One last scream rips through the eerie stillness before all is lost
Disbelief painted of every face; non-comprehension coating the entire area
Madness it is not; possession neither
Explanation--fault--lies with the frightened
And in the shocked silence is a fresh thunderstorm of disconnected--misunderstood--tears

Now I will explain this one...lol I have a feeling you may be a bit lost...
Ok, so this is about someone who has been bullied, tormented, and tortured their whole lives. They put up with it, but really can't stand it. They eventually snap (the tree in 'the forest of mind') and go just a tad mental. They lash out at the ones that caused them the pain, and end up shooting or killing them. After all that has ended, they are shocked by what they've done, and realize it helped nothing. They hate themselves for doing it, and still hate the others for putting them through that torture. The clinking metal is handcuffs, and everyone around them only sees a murderous monster. But that's not what really happened.
Basically...
They're at fault for bringing around their own demise. If it hadn't been for them, the other person wouldn't have snapped, and the others would be alive and well.
Ironic, no? lol
