Ah, weary, weary wanderer,
would you were aware
of what awaits you in the wildwood where
woodcocks whirr and wild wolves lay a-lair
whilst a wicked woman, watching there,
weaves with Wiccan words and withered hands,
one by one, the willow wands
- weft and woof - a wicker web, a snare
with which to cage unwary wanderers there.
Oh, walk where'er you will but watch your way
goes not where wicked witches would waylay.
Please tell me what you think

Yikers!! best not wander there.
I like the flow of this work; it really suits the message. The alliteration gives a wonderful feeling to it all.
Thanks for the entry. -
God, thank you.
Some good writing.
I really enjoyed this.
The alliteration was witty and wonderful.
Hahahaha, I'm a loser. Sorry.

I've read some of your work, and so far, I like this one best... It's a painting made of words, and I think it suits your style the most.. Other poems, though simple and likable, just can't match this one..

Cheers Jeff. I've only been able to quickly peep in now and again - really busy times. Glad to see you're still as poetically productive as ever on AP - all the best to you, mate! jimmy
