The day she found life in the back woods alone,
she lived in silence for words were never known.
The tinniest whimper she cast upon the air,
as she fluttered about realizing no one was there .
When Amy cried no one heard it that day,
it drifted along the morning mist her tears so displayed.
The mist became a fog that drifted across the land,
and was spotted by a little girl with dreams and she took her hand.
Don't cry Amy I am near .
It's what this little girls Mom did hear.
Puzzled she asked her daughter who she was talking to,
and she replied Amy the little fairy so sad I thought you knew.
Her Mom shook her head and felt what an imagination she had,
and she went on about her chores and told her it's just make believe don't be so sad.
Her daughter walked outside there amongst the mist,
and stretched out her little arms and whispered I need a kiss.
Her Mom caught her actions through the window that day,
and it was as if she were hugging someone, what a display.
Then she took her hand and they skipped along,
and such an imagination she started singing a song.
As the morning mist began to lift and the sun began to shine,
her Mom looked back out the window just one more time .
She couldn't believe what she saw and watched in awe,
for she saw the very outline of that little faerie wings spread as she called.
Thank-you my friend and may your day be so blessed,
a friend and a believer not like all the rest.
You brought me life and laughter something only a child can give ,
and hope that one day I as well shall live.
she lived in silence for words were never known.

Author notes
Magic is within us we can truly bring this kind of love and careing throughout the world .For if we cared about each other as we do for our possessions today this magic would be the turning point on a world now gone astray

For sure children and adults alike need both magic and miracles, your story of Amy locked silent in her own world until she found a friend, albeit invisible, reminded me of the true anecdote of a local lad locked tight in his autistic world without a word until his parents bought him a puppy, for the first time ever, ever he was able to relate , in his own way, to the puppy that unlocked part of him, lets hope all children find that special key to set them free, whether magical, real or fantasy.

Wonderful job, so true that if we loved people as much as our things and pride this world would be so much better.

It's so odd, but so much of your poetry reminds me of the songs I know and love so well, for example, at the start of this, I thought of "Alyssa Lies" - I don't know if you've heard of that one? Jason Michael Carroll sings it I think. but then by the end of it, I was thinking of, "Angels Among Us" by Randy Travis.
Naturally, as these are some of my favourite songs, your works rank right up there too for reminding me of them!
Awesome =)
