Enlightenment (A Reply)

"Thoughts in conflict

do not travel far

Frictionless,

light travels fastest."

To say light travels fastest through a vacuum may be right

but without friction photons cannot manifest as light.

But pass them through a prism and just see how they'll reveal

their rainbow spectrum nature that a vacuum must conceal.

So - emptying one's mind will bring enlightenment? It might.

But a mind that's many facetted is sure to shed more light.

Please tell me what you think

Very clever of you, Smart Human

    A light-year is a very long time

    hello jimmy,

I am not sure if a prism "sheds" light, it rather "reflects" it ...

likewise, mind can reflect truth, but Truth (Ultimate Reality) cannot be "known" through the mind ...

as much as a cup cannot contain the ocean ...

a sunray needs the Sun in order to exist ...
yet the Sun needs no manifestation in order to be ...

    manifestation depends on Consciousness ...
    Consciousness is free ...

    thank you,

    maa

I like how you've taken this another step.

I'm left pondering on how light is at once a wave and a particle.

Wonderful flow, end line and internal rhyme.

Thanks. Without being boring - light is "a wave" when it is travelling and "a particle" (more correctly, particles - i.e. photons) when stationary. Like an airplane propeller is an "object" when static and a "force" when spinning. Or something like that (I think). jj
