wildflowers

goldenrod stretches

across the meadow

like morning sun

fireweed sparks

over wheatgrass

into the sweet aroma

of wild rose

we dance together

in a blanket

of blue lupines

and windsong

your hands

spread naturally

among the moving

composition

of my hips

    lovely

I love flowers so quite naturally I loved this piece, well written, nice form, my favorite stanza is "the big ending" I love big endings. The only thing I didn't like was the use of &. I hate that damn thing, I think a pause (comma) after lupines would look more beautiful. It's great work though.

thanks so much for your comment, I applied the same kind of comma separation in the stanza above it also.
it's different than how I'd normally write, and creates a little bit of a different mood/feel - I really like it=)

i loved the sensuality of this
i almost would do away with the last line completely and leave it with composition.. but that is me-- just ignore the old lady behind the keys.

you are so right about the last line, ending it at composition, just working on that line a bit before composition though, thanks so much!=)

Oh, beautiful. Your poetry is as usual, stunning in it's gentle words and flowing script. I would love to be able to capture and set words and hearts on fire the way you are able to. There is such profound beauty and sensuousness in here. Beautiful.

composition of sound, word play and metaphor.
    Ah.
How beautiful the meadows of love, shifting in its intimate dance of colorful breeze.

Beautiful. So gentle your words and soft the textures you conjure up. Yet, there is an earthy heat smoldering there, just below the surface before it finds its way out. A slow heat that simmers like spring afternoons and dark soil -- damp and warm under the sun. It is the heat of life.

As always, your words take me to places I long to be.

I am always envious of poets who paint live and vivid pictures with so few words. This is beatuiful and textured- and so perfectly executed. What a gem!

    engine extension...

written in true Seminole fashion - flowery, fluent and fragrant like a glass mattress in a freeway divide. hoist it high overhead and tumble in a weed, aware of science; aware of fortitude; aware of sweet composition

Flayed open just right, Ms. March...

    wow

You have such great imagery in this piece. I love the sensuality which is expressed so cleanly. It takes a real poet to write something sensual without being erotic. To use the metaphors you did creates a beautiful picture of sensual love.

Such a visually colourful feast... loosing nothing as it becomes transformed into a sensual one.

Golden Rod was just about the first plant name I learnt as a child, due to helping my parents gather it once to make wine.

    Beautiful
