She says she's sorry and that she's made a mistake,
I press the phone to my ear wondering how much more I can take.
She says that she's back with him, the one who started it all,
Who laughed when she cried and pushed when she would fall.
The pain spreads through my mind as the anger begins to burn,
She realizes her mistake as she hears how for his blood I yearn.
Now as I sit in my car, a pain cuts me like a knife,
Do I take care of him right now or support her through her life.
She mistakes my silence for anger and says she'll understand,
If this treason of her heart removes my friendship from her hand.
I tell her I'm sorry, I've overreacted, but I'll support her until the end,
As I think how to resolve this without hurting my friend.
How can you walk away from a friendship when you know the person will need you shortly.

How very true. Don't you just want to kill the bastard? Good poem. Keep it up.

powerful, I've been here before... unfortunately.
"who laughed when she cried and pushed when she would fall"...
but we cannot make choices for others. All we can do is love them, and pick them up when they fall.
Thanks for sharing~

the way you use your words is amazing. very real.... i would say like you said lastnight, just try and support her, and pretend like hes not in the picture... much like she seems to do.... and you know where i am if you need anything <3
