Childhood memories
keep me believing
in life’s simplest pleasures ~
like a rainy afternoon
lost in a backyard dream
where I was washed to shore
in footprint puddles
that came alive
with pretty tales
and wishes
that still seem real
every time the April winds
fall into my space
and move me

You have captured the crown my queen of beauty, there is something about this that spoke to me more than anything I have read today, perhaps it is the softness or the memories a write like this conjurs. Best to you in the contest
