Little one, you've flown away
with angel's wings, in heaven you play
Tearfully, I'll never see your smile
but inside me, I held you for just a while.
To little to survive in this cold place
you are resting safe in God's arms of grace
I'll always remember you were there
and how I fought to keep you with great care.
Sadly, I hold onto my love's shaking hand
together through this tragedy, we stand
For we know that one day, blessing fate
We shall hold you, little one, at Heaven's gate.

Oh the los of such a bundle of love and to survive to know in time we shall be rejoined .For a mothers and fathers connecting souls are so given at birth thwe light which will guide them for their rejoing in time

thank you for entering this. its hard enough losing a child of your own, but i bet it would be ever harder losing someone elses baby and watching their pain and they deal with the grief.

I couldn't iamgine the pain of this kind of loss....Nor do I ever want to experience it first hand but through your poetic words we all shared a little piece of the immense loss you and your family have gone through.....My heart aches!!! This was a great poem. It brought tears to my eyes. The first lines "Little one, you've flown away
with angel's wings, in heaven you play" are so wonderful. They made me think of my cousin's little boy who "flew away" just 15 days after his first birthday. I like to think of him up there playing. Thank you for writing such a great poem.

This brought heartfelt tears to my eyes while reading this.. I have never crie so hard I do not think.. This is something that I can very much relate to in my own way.. the beauty in this write was really nice, and the imagery was just heartfelt and vivid.. Thank you very much for sharing this.. Oh my goodness, those two lines are so heartbreaking. What a gentle, sweet, soft poem this is - but so sad, with that depth of pain running just beneath the words. I am speechless.
