teenage infatuation
negative connotation
what a fucked up generation
giving in to our temptations

this calls for a change of plans
take all the greed and hunger brought by man
forget it all and we will be pure
our dirty hands will find the cure

 

and I can't write without drugs anymore

I'm not the same person I was before

it's sad to think I've been desensitized

but half my shit stays unrevised

and no one will ever know my name

or all these internal stuggles I overcame

because I'll write it down but I won't scream it out

but that kind of honesty I can do without

    i really like this...addiction is a hard thing...believe me i know...for a long time i thought i needed the drugs to be able to write and for a long time i had to...but i've learned that i can be creative and a better person without them...keep up the good work...

    Chilling in its honesty. Unfortunately, I've spent nearly twelve years addicted but I am proud to say that I have turned a corner. I'd like to think that my writing hasn't suffered for the changes in my world. I think that the rhyme is a little excessive but to be fair, that could be simply because I don't personally care for rhyme as a general rule. In any case, all the best of luck!

    nice...I like this, very true, written with a flair, it's very well written. The last stanza really gets me though, and I hope that you can find a way to write with out the drugs, merely for your sake. And your not to desensitized, you will find something to surprise you, some part of life that will make you feel that wonder and excitement again. Just keep looking, and i know you will find it.
