Mildred will take care of you,
and see to all your needs
Tuck you in and feed you,
then at night will make you bleed
Rarely does she show her face,
the real girl trapped way inside
She’ll be talking to you oh so sweet,
then on your neck reside
Never trying to kill you,
she will bleed you almost dry
For again your tomorrows dinner,
it would not pay to let you die
You feel as if you’re slowly turning,
into something that you are not
She will only take just what she needs,
as your insides start to rot
Never getting better,
but there’s nothing you can say
Who would believe that sweet young Mildred,
was a vampire anyway

Very good and literal take on the prompt. I enjoyed the rhyme overall and the fast flow of the poem. Thanks for entering an original poem. Best of luck in the contest.
