Darkness of the Night

Everything is distorted,
My mind is swirling everything around,
Morphing everything into one,
I am lost,
I know not what is happening.

You were here one moment,
And now you are gone,
I don't understand,
I am confused and not fully here,
I need you by my side.

We were so happy together,
We had our lives lying ahead,
We had so many memories,
Memories that we made in the dark,
Memories made under the moon and stars.

As I lyed there,
On the soft ground,
You ran your fingers through my hair,
Touched my lips with your ever so tender lips,
As things fell,
As the night grew dark,
As the wind blew,
My body began to tremble,
With every touch of your body.

You told me everythings okay,
I needn't fear,
You are here with me,
Just relax,
Our love will never die.

But as I sit in the emptiness of darkness,
You are not here,
You left,
As you went away,
Vanishing out of sight,
I ran after you,
You stepped into the light,
I was blinded,
And you were gone,
But,
You whispered, "You will always be with me,
You love me,
Our love will never die,
Even if one is not physically here,
Our love will live on."

I fell to my knees,
Tears streaming down my face,
I scream,
I do not want to be here anymore,
I look in a mirror,
It is cracked,
Along with my heart,
My soul flies into the darkness of the night,
I lye still on the floor,
Unable to move,
For one wish,
That my soul will find you,
And our love be reunited.
