Jeopardy

Life without you.

What is stale, cold coffee
in the rain with no umbrella?
What is a minimum-wage job
and never enough blow?
What is the shreik of a baby
for hours in the dead of night?
What is salt in the wound
with lemon zest and peroxide?
What is a stretch of rope
and knowledge of boyscout knots?
What is twenty klonopin
and twenty shots of gin, no juice?
What is cold steel on hot flesh
coupled with hotter tears?
What is a leap of faith
off the city bridge?
What is a volvo in overdrive
heading towards the sea?
What is "If at first you don't succeed,
try, try again"?
What is life not worth living?
What is no life at all?

Ding ding ding
That is correct.

Constructive critisism is encouraged!

WOW this was really good.. I loved the jeopardy theme of the poem too... love is almost like jeopardy in a way. It can either rise you up above of what you thought you could be. Or it can drop you and crush your dreams... I think my favorite part of it was...

What is salt in the wound
    with lemon zest and peroxide?

That part was ironic but well penned... nice job...
