Creative Process

A restless mind, a restless heart rests.
The muse takes over, it speaks,
inspiration.
It flows from him
washes over him like a wall of rushing water.
Thoughts, feelings, ideas, dreams
all that have been held are released.
The words lay down before him like lovers
The words are all he knows, all he sees.
Lost in this moment of inspiration
nothing else in the world matters,
nothing but the words.
Completion.
Finally the words are complete.
The thoughts, feelings, ideas and dreams,
lay on the paper before him.
His work is beauty.
His work is creativity.
A sense of peace washes over him,
a sense of release.
His body can rest.  His spirit can rest.
His muse is silenced for now.
Nothing is left but peace.

This was the truth of it described so well-you have managed to convey that need to say it/write it/tell it that marks the difference between writers and non-writers that is so hard to justify sometimes.

It certainly quietens the voices for a while at least..till they start up again. lol.

    Great write. (PS Cam/can sp)Peace x

Yes, we all go through this, don't we? You've penned a very beautiful piece here, my friend. The words you used were strong and this was a different way for you to write (or for me to read from your work). I liked the ending. You've touched the hearts of poets with this.

Occasionally I come up with a decent ending. I'm glad you liked it.

I believe everyone who has ever at least tried to write something can certainly relate to this. When you start to loosen the rope that has kept your emotions bound through writing, it's an amazing feeling of peace when they are finally released. You can actually take a deep breath. This is a write I can truly appreciate.
