Tears leaking from my glistening red rimmed eyes
Thanking God with uncertainty wondering why
I know I’ve been blessed to see another day’s end
When I thought my hereafter was about to begin
Overwhelmed by the pain I have scarcely overcome
Ecstatic that I was blessed to see another’s day sun
Didn’t think I would make it this time yet I’m still here
Thanking you God for hope of a future in the oncoming years
With the end of this most beautiful day
I can’t help but take the time to stop and pray
For my God has allowed me to be apart of this transformation
Of day into night as this picturesque scene fills me with elation
Thank you God, my Savior, my long time friend
My salvation, my light the forgiver of my sins
For I realize I am still alive and I am truly blessed
These are my humble words to you I would like to express
