we've been good friends
we've laughed, we've fought,
then made amends

and yes that's true

    And lyrical... This poetry rolls off the tongue in melody. Very pretty and surreal. I can see;

    We can be dreamers, sometimes that's the right thing to be. I guess most poets are dreamers anyway, as well as romantics, if the two aren't synonymous.

    Beautiful words, one of the best in the contest, entries I mean.

    First, i LOVE the bg! beautiful. Very serene and calm. Second, i adore the poem. The way you started it off is very creative. With the ...and) i liked that. As well, the rhyme was lovely. Great work with this one.

      I originally wrote this as a sonnet but then didnt like how it looked in long line form... hence the little shortie lines instead.

      Re the format.. yes it looks a bit peculiar but plain writing wouldn't show well enough on top of the picture. I'm still working on it.
