Dear Dan and whoever else reads this,
This contest was created for a very special friend of mine and i decided i would stop by and see what it was all about. When i saw it was for an ap family for him i realized i had to enter. Dan holds a special place in my heart and he will for as long as he lets me keep him there.
Yes we are not perfect and we have had a few fights and even some disagreements but we always seem to work it out. I like to push him on stuff and annoy him just to see how he will react. Sometimes he gets frustrated with me or does something to shut me up lol. He knows when i bug him about stuff its because i care about him.
Dan is an amazing guy. He is one of those people who believe that every person has a purpose and believe everyone deserves a chance. He will be a friend to anyone. Sometimes people take advantage of him because he is so nice. I do not like it when people do that! I would go to great lengths to protect him and keep him safe.
I have made a few promises to him and i intend on keeping them. I will always protect him even if he insists on protecting me first. The day i stop will be the day he asks me to. I don't need any ones permission because i have his and that's all i need. If someone doesn't like the fact that i will do any of this for him then they can deal with it because it wont change.
Dan you are amazing and i don't know what i would you without you there to help me feel safe and help me through all the drama. Your hugs wrap me up into a world of protection and a safe haven. I will always remember the things you have done for me.
This is my letter to you Dan and my application to be in your allpoetry family. I was thinking maybe ap protector or even maybe ur ap girlfriend. 
You know i care about you and i hate every time i have to say goodbye to you but i know i always have DJ with me. He is my protection when your away but i still always want you. The easiest way for me to finish this poem would be for me to say, Dan i love you...
*places a red m&m at the bottom of the page and whispers "don't ever let that balloon holding me to your heart go ok" then smiles and walks away and waits for the next time i see you*
