Baby close your eyes,
Battle scarred and broken,
Rest your blackened eyelids,
Shut out the tainted walls,
Who whisper like rustles of wind,
Secrets to strangers,
All she lives for,
Its all she knows,
Inching forward,
Piecing together her glass heart,
Duct tape so silver,
Whispers from strangers,
Beckoning from unspoken objects,
Cold and shivering without her friend,
Been so wronged,
She smiles and laughs,
The broken expression,
Carved from smooth marble on her face,
Eyes ablaze within inner turmoil,
Unfairly treated,
Battered and bruised,
Used and forgotten,
She smiles,
“Lets play pretend” She says,
“We can be happy,
Far away within a home,
instead of a building,
We can be happy.
But, its only pretend.”
Love on her arms,
She smiles,

what an absolutely amazing write. It is so filled with emotion and untold secrets. It paints a very vivid but sad picture, hiding behind a façade of pretence, very well written. Well done..

I really like it.
I really like this poem! It sounds very good. The second line i think there MIGHT be a typo though. Instead of 'scared' is it supposed to be 'scarred'? Anyway, good poem. -
