The Long Heart

At the core of every soul is a storm,
Raging with fury like never before.
You were one of those,
Angry child, with the heart of a boar.
Cursed with your burden,
Your heart of a stone.
I see you stumble with the hurt.
The plague that has taken you over.
The poison that I sent you crashing into waves,
Head first into the abyss of a bloody dawn.

Was your heart so overwhelming-
That you should do what I had done as a last resort?
When did your life begin to lose its meaning,
Did you choke on your own black blood?
You were washed away by the flood of your horrendous long heart.
Wretched child.
You stood upon the side of the highest cliff,
Cursing the sky for your heart that was too much.
What have you done, long-hearted one?

How about this one...

Great opening lines here, I feel it. It literally pains me to read this; such heart and imagery within. It makes me want to “fix” it all so that no one is hurt. Great emotional piece.
