I've tried to convince myself to stay away from you
For quite some time now
Your memory is teasing
And I don't much like the way
It makes my hands shake
My body quake
In such an uncontrollable fashion
I'd give it all to not
Resign myself to longing
And not fasting
And not beating myself up
Over every thought that strays
But it's never mine to want
Anyway.
