cold as ice

on the ice we stand, as it starts to heat
i may slip and fall, if i miss a beat
trying to say the right thing,
fumbling with my words
afraid that i might hurt you,
or that the truth soon will.
trying to save you, should i save msyelf?
you're not the same as you used to be,
not even at all
you don't care that the ice is cracking,
that you may sink and drown
drown in the deep dark ocean
the tide is getting strong
soon you will feel nothing
i will feel it all.

I like the imagry of this poem.
    Deep.
It sounds like it came from the heart.
    Good job.
