When It Hurts

Is God there when a baby dies?
Does He care when a mother cries?
Does He truly hear our prayers?
Does He sympathize with our cares?

Let's recall how God sent His son,
Not a son but His only one.
Remember He was crucified.
For us He suffered and died,
Bearing much agony and pain,
Through tremendous love for our gain.

Yes, God's there when a baby dies.
He does care when a mother cries.
He always listens to our prayers
And sympathizes with our cares,
Because He understands our pain
And He works it all to our gain.

Author notes

'Hope Comes from within' That 'within' for me is the Holy Spirit.
This poem is true. It is how I got through the death of my cousin's baby.

I'm so glad you let me know of this beautiful poem, my friend! Mine does seem to mirror this beautiful piece. Even though I'm so sorry for the loss of this little one, we know that he/she is most assuredly in the Lord's hands, and you will be reunited, one day! What a glorious hope that we, as Christians, are given by the Lord, that death is not forever, but that we will see those we love, who have "died in the Lord." This is such a beautiful, and touching write. While you may not have children of your own, you certainly conveyed a sense of loss for this tragic death, but more importantly, that He truly cares for us, and grieves with us, through our pain! Lovely write! God bless you, and thank you so much for taking time to read 'Rescued,' and to leave such a kind comment! It is muchly appreciated!
