that comes with
Seclusion
& all its deceit...

of supposed Strength,
this posture towards
presumed Passion ~

Depth of Knowledge
This Life
pulsing in my Blood
is warm & pure,
full of Fire ~
glorious flames

Thanks, Poet...I appreciate your kind words here...this was my 'coming out', of sorts...I'd been in a very Dark place for so long...without Hope...(not really, but I sure was denying the chance for it)...I lost my Sweetheart just before Christmas last year...we'd lived together for 14 years...but I'd actually first met & dated him at the age of 16...I thought, when he left, that Love had died with him...now, I am reaching our for Love & Life & Hope, as he wanted ~ demanded ~ I do...& it is in my Nature to Love...sigh Can't help your basic DNA, no matter how hard you try...so, this poem was especially important to me...& it was vital to post it, to 'declare my intent', so to speak...thanks, Poet!!! & again, WELCOME TO AP!!! A beautiful expression of love! Shouldn't we all keep our hopes? Fish and sea, fish and sea. The title really caught me, and the poem carried it nicely. Well done. The words were elegant and smooth. Almost fragile, yet strong. A wonderous write.
