Hippity Hop and Rhythm Rocks

Hippity hop and rhythm rocks,
The wicked wily fox
Forsaking all of his wishes
Came crashing into the dishes
When running out of my Xbox.

Clippity clap and all that rap,
The kitty took a nap
While the mice went on vacation.
The hound sat on the Playstation
As the cunning fox set a trap.

Dippity dance and modern disco
The scene was a fiasco
The mice returned playing loud toys
The kitty awoke to the noise
The hound caught fox on Nintendo.

This is a cool version of a classic hickory dickory dock type of write. I thought it was quite clever. I liked your choices for the rhyming. Nicely done.

Certainly fits into the "modern" category - and very high in originality. Thanks for entering this, and good luck in the contest.

    Excellent

Very inventive use of the Mother Goose Nursery rhyme. This is definitely modern and definitely cute. I think any kid would love this.

Hahaha. Awesome poem. I loved the scheme you used. Definitely in a "nursery rhyme" style. It does seem to lose rhythm in a couple areas, though. Other than that, good job. Made me smile. And that's nursery rhymes are for, right!? Haha. Thanks for sharing. Till next time...

Wonderful, excellent... I love how you used the xbox, playstation. Kids just love these. Flowed so very well together. the rhyming wasn't forced thank god. I hate forced rhyming. It pulled the piece together beautifully.
