Comedian

(Repost)

Frigid to the how-to's
(the hard-nosed text),
I faced the hoodwinked brow
the bibliophobic clinch,
for the constant lure of the writer kings
that austere charm
In laggard scheme
and dilatory approach,
it was easy to cozen the fears
but suddenly-
sparked with a spicey will,
I drizzle the anxious pen to a
mawkish sketch of what was
needed the most!

Oh, joy- a miracle!
for I,
reduced to espy the goal,
emerged with
the voice of a polyglot
a rhetoric fool!
The author’s sun came up
with a more humbling wit
upon risable alert,
hence, brought this menial mute
to a jestered attention-

the clever and progessive
lady of comedy,
The stage, the Faucier
spokesman of joke
seamstress of golden laughter!

Oh Cookie...you have to count the space between stanzas as line also. There are 34 lines. Tell ya what...reduce it to 33 lines and I'll let you know if it works or not. Thanks.
