Tango

Missing image
I blush
under your gaze,

so intense
is the Fire
in your eyes
as you look at me ~

I can't help but believe...

There are moments
that sigh

as we move
ever closer
in this ancient dance
of Passion's Promise ~

I tremble
with the Knowledge
of what must be...

I hear the Music
between us,

a rhythm all our own
waiting to be discovered
& cherished...

I watch your hands
as they reach out
for me

in Wonder
& Delight ~

the anticipation of Love
is wild & free ~

I am breathless
with Vision...

Uhhh huhhh...me, too...on both counts... I never learned to dance at all when I was younger, but I can definitely slow dance...The obvious sensuality & yearning involved in the tango is breath~taking...Makes this ol' (former) librarian's heart go pitty~pat... Thank you, Rich...I'm glad you enjoyed it, my Friend... Wanda

I think the tango is so sexy...wish I knew how to do it...You have penned this piece perfectly...and all the mystery and the aspect of a single dancing rose fill your page...

    Superb!!!

    This is a classic!
    "...as we move
    ever closer
    in this ancient dance
    of Passion's Promise ~..."
It is so warm and sincere in it's
conviction to passion. I love this one

WOW! the passion and intense fire in this poem is esasily picked up on, if your picture up top wasn't enough. the fire that burns throughtout this entire poem is wonderful! its very consistant and you don't go off and loose a little of that fire ever and thats really important to have in all poems but especailly love poems for so many write of 'love' its almost overrated. another gret job!

wow, this is totally breathtaking. I can almost feel myself blushing as well, and that's a thing to say from a guy. haha. The image of two people passionately dancing was well described here, in the female's point of view. I can almost see the gradual change of the woman from stiff and shy to giving in to passion. Now I want to learn how to dance.
