It is not an accident that your eyes fall upon this page
We are linked in a way that isplanned and purposeful. Isn't that delightful?
At risk of not being accepted, I have met, surrendered to , know and love the Lord
Jesus Christ. He has made Himself known to me even while I am sinful.
Precious, sweet, and enduring eternally. He is my ultimate muse.

"I am not driven by loss,
but in the gain—-its rhythmic mania." Me
"If pain doesn't drive us
to the highest level of change,
it didn't hurt enough." Me
Let me qualify myself as a critical reviewer.
Raised, mentored and influenced by a wonderful Father who was an English and History teacher, I have been writing since I was 6, songwriting since I was 16, a singer and guitarist in bands for over 17 years and am published in poetry and short stories as well as various news articles. My education was majoring in literature, language arts, music, theatre, and creative writing. I did not finish my college education, but have a civic credit for consistently applying the arts.
In 1999, I bought my first computer so that I could
connect with the world in the 'air' and write my books. It has been a
distraction due to what we know as 'life',
but I always get back on track. About 4 years ago, I joined another site for 'form' critiquing alone and was critiqued beyond my ego.
I did not always take heed at the suggestions, but always appreciated them and considered revision. Entering contests and submitting to specific publishing houses, I attained some publishing success. I have had the pleasure to work with AllPoetry's publications , quarterly magazines, and internationally with Kreativ's poetry books, edited and compiled by Myra Lochner aka: myrataal. ( http://allpoetry.com/myrataal)Next year will be my upcoming novelette, "Under The Resh Seal", a World War II love story/epic based on a family member's real experience as a POW , its trauma and loss of 20 years.
About My Critiquing
As a courtesy to those who need a
viewpoint or two from readers, critiquing
is an important ingredient for improvement,
not so much in the way your sacred thoughts
could be written, (as each style has its comfort
zone), but for the clarity of readability.
If you're serious about quality
writing, I owe it to you as a fellow poet!
Once you hear from me in a greeting and check out my page, please let me know what kind of critiquing you expect:
Level one-General comments and critiques which mildly approach the general pragmatics of improving the overall body.
Level Two-General and specific comments that are diplomatically giving a more intense suggestion and/or rewrite. Sometimes they are reviewed on a line-by-line. Ask me only if you aren't overly sensitive and your ego isn't in the front line. Thank you for your trust.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My poetry may not impress everyone, but much of it will find its way to help develop a reader's third eye, the one that seeks a change and pre-empts complacency. I hope you find the ardent weaver in at least one of them.
I give all glory to the only God, and through the changing power of Jesus Christ who is knowable to anyone who wants a relationship. For this, I am not religious.
Dear authors and readers,
I was privileged to have written the forward for
Myra Lochner's 3rd book ( "WINS Verlies.Gained Loss" ) of collected bi-lingual poetry (English and Africaan) with the theme of healing, hope, and encouragement. (One of my poems is also included. )
Myra is a lovely Christian woman, author -producer, publisist, edopathist (creator of a newly developed process of inner healing), social worker and meta-therapist. You can read about her in our internet community of writers.
Are you writing a book? Do you want someone to write the prologue or forward to introduce you and your work in a way that you as the author wouldn't? I will consider if you ask.
Private message me so we can discuss it.
Thank you for reading.
-LilacThOughts- : 100th Hood-Wink Celebrations! on November 20Hi CookieZeal
Guess what? You’ve been ambushed! The group, ‘The Poetic Bandits’ do something called Hood-Wink, where we all come together with a chosen poet and comment on their poetry. You are our chosen poet, and it’s very exciting right now, because this is our 100th Hood-Wink and we are celebrating by commenting on your poetry. Hope you were encouraged by this and found it to be a blessing. Keep up the great writing and thank you for your contributions through poetry and the great job you do as a greeter on this site
All the best...
