"Knowing how to spell does not make you a writer any more than
knowing how to compile code makes you a software engineer"

There's something narcissistic and almost vapid about writing one's own profile, which probably makes up about 40% of the reason why I'm rather hesitating (I deliberated for close to 7 months) to write this. The other 60% is attributed to the knowing fact that I'll have the allpoetry population in a puke fest, so I'll try to make this as painless as possible...

In not-so-many-words, I'm a...
                   geeky,
hopelessly optimistic (although at odd times given to bouts of broodings),
neo-hippie with the worst case of travel bug, and
a penchant to jam myself in situations where sane mortals would flee...

Life has been relatively angst-free. That's probably because I don't care enough to put my mind (and heart) in a blender, shaking my fist at the whole world, whining about the unfairness of it all, and blaming everyone but myself for any untimely misfortune. Yes, I do have my share of rant, but when I'm over and done with it, it's over and it's done. It's painfully uncomplicated; it's frighteningly predictable; and sad as it may sound, I like my life to stay that way ...

...which comes to the subject of inspiration: A surprising anomaly and the constant whirlwind in my settled life; my partner of 4 years; I adore only thee and no other... Ummmm, and that awesome pie you make every Christmas

Poetry-wise, I'm a bit of an anal-retentive freak. I am rather partial to meters and rhymes, or anything that resembles a pattern, and it annoyingly reflects in my works. I've been told they're not exactly spontaneous (I'm a Virgo, go figure ) but hey, it works for me. I suppose the absence of a well-defined structure in my younger years kind of lends a hand too; predictability soothes - unless of course it drives you to infinite boredom

Note: I take time to read as I take equal time to understand, appreciate and hopefully, embrace the underlying message behind all things. Should my viewpoint perverted yours, pray do tell: I love a good debate .
