I hope you are well Anna!
  • Annastacia on May 31, 2006
WELL DONE!!! I am gonna have to get off my ass and actually get my hands on your CD's. You are very good at what you do. I live i Missouri(grew up in So Cal), and there just isn't much in the way way of good music out here. Of course it doesn't help that my company recently relocated me to town of 3700 people. Ever see Pleasantville??? Anyway, is this one on an available CD yet?

Anna, I am glad you are okay and I am sorry that there was so much damage for the others. It must be hard to live with tornado threats just like we live with earthquake threats. Yet, that is the mother nature we love so dearly. I glad you are well.
  • Annastacia on March 17, 2006
Thank you for asking, well, I made it throught storms last week, but it was quite the experience. I had just finished moving to Centralia Missouri, it was Sunday afternoon and the tornado sirens sounded, I was in the front yard and look up and about 1/4 mile away there were 2 funnel clouds forming. I stood there and said out loud,Lord if it is my time, thank you for my life and all of the blessings you have giving me, but if you have more things for me to do on this earth please protect my new home, my dogs, and myself from the tornados. Right then, both funnel clouds dissipated and the sun shone out from behind them. It was such a moving experience. I was very blessed last weekend, my home had no damage, But there was so many homes that were completely devasted, and lives that were lost. There were alot of people not at work this week due to losses from the storms.

    Elfin, Thank You So Much!!!
  • Elfin on January 1, 2006
Dear Annastacia, in reply to your enquiry, I would be most pleased to share my poem with whomever you think best, in order to keep the world aware of the plight of millions of people. Alone, I can do nothing, but together, the ones that care will be heard.

Since nothing new for me to read
    I guess I'll plant a tiny seed
And drop some upon this page some thoughts
in hopes they'll grow and not be naught

    As thunder rumbles over head
and traffic flows beside my head
Still calm remain within my mind
    Controlling thoughts and also time

    Awaiting sun to sprout again
and bring new light to me my friend
Am hoping all is well with you
and that these lines will find soul true

For troubles come, but troubles go
And we must learn to live with flow
So concentrate not on what's been
but rather what may come my friend

    Hugs...Eddy

    Hello there darling.

Glad to see you stopped in. And you did it before me...lol. I'm usually the one to make the rounds and say things to people. You took me off guard my dear.

As for me , I am pretty good. Writing and working. Nothing that exciting to say...Other than the fact that I enjoy looking around this site and meeting new people. Always fun. Especially when you don't always have time to post new things , Etc. Glad to see that you are still in " the elitists "...You should join one of the contests we have sometime? The next one will be an entirely different contest.

    And yourself?

    Love ya .
    James

It's not the water hun just a matter of mind meets reality and shouldofs vs actuals. A conflict of what we think should happen or be meets the contrast of what actual does. I know better but still have lapses of stupidity...lol...which is MY term for self-denial.

I came here to comment on your poetry, and then read your bio. We have such amazing simlarities. I LOVE your quotes and your page, both are so true and genuine. That is a true treat you dont see in many people these days. I'm glad to have come across your way and have you bookmarked for future
  • jaunty pill on November 21, 2004
You're still on my favorites list , But only the one listed on my page...I will be able to keep up with your work from there and promise I will.

But as for this new policy...No more adding favorites through the favorite system...It's against personal opinion and I won't stand for it. I guess sometimes the best way to get people to listen is to repent.

love to you as well ,
    james
  • jaunty pill on November 21, 2004
    I don't approve of Kevin's new " Everyone see's our favorites list " feature.

    allpoetry.com/poem/906548

You may go here to read more....Don't worry , You're still going
to be featured on my authors page , but I feel that some of my hard
earned rights as a poet and reader are being taken away.

Change is good , But not at the cost of people's opinions...

Sorry , But this is how I feel , I will have to use the hard way
and check back from time to time on all my favorites from my
    page.

Much respect and love to you ,
    James

Nice to have run into you here on this site. I do so enjoy that poem by E.A. Poe. I, like you, started writing poetry late in life (around the age of forty). I have a sister that lives in MO. along the western border close to Kansas, and I have been in your state a few times. I just came back from Oklahoma two weeks ago, and brought 44 up to St Louis to come back to IN.
I'll be reading some of your work.

    Best wishes,
    Hoosier writer & poet,
    Moses L. Hochstetler

    Hi:-
I just popped in to thank you for the thank you that you gave,
And thought that I would mention that the thank you, you can save,
For you see by reciprocity we’ll be whizzing back and forth,
With a thousand thank you-s for thanking you for the thought.

Though having this mentioned I have to add a note – I really liked receiving the thank you that you wrote…
  • on April 4, 2003
Really descriptive piece. Very truthful in how you told your feelings, which show great love, trust and loyalty to the man you have chosen. Wonderful!
