The More Loving One

Looking up at the stars, I know quite well
That, for all they care, I can go to hell,
But on earth indifference is the least
We have to dread from man or beast.

How should we like it were stars to burn
With a passion for us we could not return?
If equal affection cannot be,
Let the more loving one be me.

Admirer as I think I am
Of stars that do not give a damn,
I cannot, now I see them, say
I missed one terribly all day.

Were all stars to disappear or die,
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel its total dark sublime,
Though this might take me a little time.

There are people in our lives who enter unexpectedly, but somehow find a permanent place in our hearts. These are the people from AP who have been there for me, rallied around when I needed them most, and that I thank God for every day. Although most are not official AP family members, I would claim every one as my sister or brother, and best of best friends.

•   My AP husband, Rick. He’ll make you fall in love with love again…

•   My AP daughter and real life niece,
PoetryDove

•   My AP brother-in-law by default, lol,
Doctor Bob

•   My AP sister with the sweetest of souls,
Rosemary

•   The kindest and most inspirational person you could ever hope to meet,
Joyce

•   The wisest, most spirited, loyal, and talented 17 year old I’ve ever met,
Never Fall in Love (She designed the background for my page, another of her many talents.)

•   An amazing, wonderful friend,
Michelle. But be careful…she’ll kick some @$$ if you mess with those she loves! lol

•   A beautiful woman of incredible inner strength,
Ami

•   A man who inspires strength and calm in my life,
Don

•   Writer and gentleman extraordinaire,
Hugh

•   A gentle spirit, wise beyond words,
Marion

•   A man with a heart of gold,
Bear

•   A young woman whose intellect and wit I greatly admire,
Jan

•   Often a mirror of my inner triumphs and anguish both,
Soulwindow

There are many more who inspire me and whose friendship I treasure, and hopefully you know who you are. My love and thanks to you all…

~Julie

A Message to My Friends:

I may be MIA for a while due to personal issues. I just don't have the heart to write right now, but I'll try to keep up with all of you as best I can.

Love and hugs to you all,
~J.

For winter's rains and ruins are over,
And all the seasons of snows and sins;
The days dividing lover and lover,
The light that loses, the night that wins;
And time remembered is grief forgotten,
And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
And in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins.

"He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong."

                       ~W.H.Auden "Funeral Blues".

Please check out my AP husband, Endeavor:

Endeavor and I have just celebrated our one year AP marriage anniversary, and have renewed our vows for another year!

Those of you who are familiar with his poetry know that he is a romantic at heart who can make you melt with his beautiful expressions of love. If you haven’t read any of his work, I encourage you to do so. This goes for all you guys out there as well as women! You just might pick up an idea or two about how to woo the woman of your dreams. Our AP marriage is born of friendship, understanding, support, trust, and the love we share in that context. He has been a great friend to me from my earliest days here on AP and I will be forever grateful to have met him.

The following poem was written by Endeavor, for me, on our AP marriage date, August 7, 2006
Blessed Treasure

Just stopping by your page hoping to find something new. But I didn't so now I am sad. I really hope all is well with you. Haven't heard anything from you in a while.
Which has me a bit worried. Are you ever going to write again, because I honestly miss your words. You need to get back into the swing of things. Please don't let your God given talent go to waste. Write, write, write. My friend.
    Love Ya,
    Your Friend
