"We live in a world torn between
wanting to listen to the sound
of a flower growing and wanting
to ignore the sound of the sky falling.
By sometimes being sensitive
enough to the first process
we acquire the energy necessary
to prevent the second."

Hello,
I came to All Poetry to share my poems and to read yours! I am always looking for new ways to write those things that are closest to my heart as well as looking for fellow poets that most move me by what they write!
I enjoy leaving my comments and if you allow, will make critical comments when they are asked for. I am looking for your comments as well and anticipate that you will give me good and honest critiques and also suggestions for improvement!
I am a Floridian that loves the outdoors and nature and spent many years working with the Department of Environmental Protection. I started writing after I semi-retired. I began traveling as well, to "see what I could see". I enjoy sailing and spent 11 months sailing the Bahamas with my late husband. I love clean water and clean air and prefer the country to the city.
My poetry will reflect these experiences as well as my deep love for philosophy. Every once in a while something strikes me as funny so I try to document some of those occassions. I have written a wide spectrum of forms and styles as well as topics and look forward to hearing from you as you peruse them! I always applaud comments ... so if you're poor read and comment!
Thanks for taking the time to read all this and even though I'm a poor poet & writer, I hope to support this site by supporting others and sharing all the points that I keep earning by giving back!

Poems I'm focused on
-
A secret society that seeks healthy propriety
eludes all ~ but the keenest of men. -
I always saved sweet memories my senses would imbue,
Those of clear, clean water and the thrill of nature -
You are lying in bed with thoughts filling your head,
as rest takes a long intermission.
To return back to sleep you decide to count shee -
while the oppressed of the oppressed
wait behind doors ... -
Reflections of the real world -
as your true self waits to be seen ...
My Poetry
-
And has to smile and wonder what
Is in the cud he chews?
